SLEP placement scores (posted August 11, 2008)
I am working with a new start-up English program in China. We have developed our curriculum framework and have decided to use the SLEP as our placement instrument. I would love to hear the following from those of you who use or have used SLEP for ESL/EFL/IEP placement (as much or as little information as you can provide will be greatly appreciated!!):
- Number of levels in your program
- SLEP form that you use/have used
- SLEP score range for each level (please specify whether it is the raw
score, scaled score, or percentage)
- Your (prose) level descriptors
- Your thoughts and feelings about SLEP
Thank you in advance for sharing this information with me.
