This webinar looks at English language teacher self-efficacy beliefs (i.e., teachers’ confidence in their own capabilities to enact different teaching tasks). It discusses what self-efficacy beliefs are, why they are so important, and how they can impact teachers and students in the classroom.

About the Presenter

Michael Karas is an assistant professor of Applied Linguistics at Brock University. He has worked as an English language teacher and (language) teacher educator for 15 years in South Korea, China, and Canada. His research interests include English language teacher self-efficacy, learner silence and reticence, and synthesis/meta-analysis work.
