Chapters

TESL Ontario has twelve chapters throughout the province that host such events as workshops, conferences, career fairs, swap shops, publishers’ displays, expert panel discussions and fun networking events. These events offer opportunities to meet and network with other ESL professionals in your local area.

Each TESL Ontario member receives free membership to ONE Chapter of their choice, however most Chapter events are open to all TESL Ontario members.

TESL Ontario Chapters are often looking for volunteers for the executive teams. Interested members should contact the appropriate Chapter from the list provided below.

Chapter Opportunities

TESL Ontario Chapters are always looking for new members to join their executives to fill key roles.

Chapter Executive members are involved with developing a community of peers in your region, organizing professional development activities, and collaborating with TESL Ontario to ensure that key concerns are brought forward from your communities.

Volunteering with your local chapter executive has several benefits, including:

  • Excellent management and leadership experience
  • Professional Development (PD) credits toward your PD requirements for certified membership renewal
  • Opportunity to develop an active community of peers in your region
  • Valuable networking opportunities to connect with your peers and build your personal learning network
  • The opportunity to make new friends and enjoy the camaraderie that is shared among a community of volunteers.

If you’re interested in giving back to your local community, we encourage you to apply with your Chapter today.

Present a session at a Chapter Event

Are you passionate about a topic? If so, why not share your knowledge with your local TESL community? Consider submitting a presentation proposal for a Chapter event.

All proposals will be forwarded to the appropriate Chapter for review by their event planning committee.
