About the Presenter

As a former public-school psychologist, Heidi Brooks (she/her) has worked in the field of education her entire professional career. A mid-career change in 2021 found her teaching literacy to adults at the Immigrant Settlement Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS). Currently as an accessibility support instructor, Heidi works with students and teachers to overcome barriers to learning. Part of this role is to provide instructional support for students with reading challenges.
