Self-Care: Optional Pauses for Teachers

February 17, 2027
7:00 – 8:00 pm ET
  • What can a teacher offer before a difficult work conversation?
  • How can an optional pause preserve choice instead of becoming another demand?
  • When might workload, access needs or professional support matter more than an individual exercise?

This webinar uses fictional teacher workload and colleague-conversation scenarios. Comparing choice-based invitations, trying an optional pause, and defining one small next step will be addressed. The approach is educational and nonclinical: no personal health disclosure, therapeutic claims, guaranteed outcomes or sales pitch. It is not language-teaching methodology.

Key areas to be addressed:

  • Comparing language that lets a participant observe, adapt, or decline practice.
  • Rewrite one fictional overwhelming work task as a small observable next step.
  • Distinguish when workload, accessibility, environment or professional support is more appropriate than an individual exercise.

Webinar Type: Health & Wellness

Categories: Work/Life Balance

Teaching Sectors: All sectors

Participant Level: No previous knowledge required
